Waiver & Release of Liability

Please read the following Waiver & Release of Liability carefully. By booking a session with NorCal Futbol Academy, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the terms below.

1. Assumption of Risk

I understand that participation in soccer and goalkeeper training involves inherent risks, including but not limited to collisions, falls, intense physical activity, and contact with other players, equipment, or surfaces. These activities may result in injury, illness, or, in rare cases, serious harm.

I voluntarily choose to participate (or allow my child to participate) in training sessions, games, camps, clinics, and any related activities (“Activities”) offered by NorCal Futbol Academy and assume all risks, known and unknown, associated with participation.

2. Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I hereby waive, release, and discharge NorCal Futbol Academy, its owners, coaches, staff, contractors, volunteers, and agents from any and all claims, demands, causes of action, damages, or liability of any kind arising out of or related to:

  • Personal injury or illness

  • Death

  • Property damage or loss

that may occur as a result of participation in the Activities, whether caused by ordinary negligence or otherwise.

3. Medical Treatment

In the event of an injury or medical emergency, I authorize NorCal Futbol Academy staff to seek medical care for me or my child as deemed necessary. I understand that I am solely responsible for any medical expenses incurred and agree to hold the Academy harmless for any good-faith decisions made in connection with such care.

4. Fitness to Participate

I certify that I (or my child) am physically fit to participate in goalkeeper training and related soccer activities and have no medical condition that would prevent safe participation. I understand that it is my responsibility to consult a physician prior to participation if I have any questions or concerns about physical readiness.

5. Code of Conduct

I agree that I (or my child) will follow all instructions, rules, and safety guidelines provided by coaches and staff. I understand that unsafe, disrespectful, or disruptive behavior may result in removal from a session or program without refund.

6. Photo & Video Release

I understand that training sessions may be photographed or recorded for coaching, educational, and promotional use. I grant NorCal Futbol Academy permission to use photos and videos of me or my child on the Academy’s website, social media, and marketing materials without compensation.

If I do not consent to this, I understand that I must notify NorCal Futbol Academy in writing prior to participation.

7. Payments, Cancellations & Scheduling

I understand that all sessions must be booked in advance and are subject to the Academy’s current payment, cancellation, and rescheduling policies as listed on the website or booking platform. I agree to review and comply with these policies, including any fees related to late cancellations or no-shows.

8. Governing Law

This Waiver & Release of Liability shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of California. Any disputes arising out of or related to this agreement or participation in the Activities shall be resolved in the appropriate courts within the State of California.

9. Acknowledgment & Consent

By booking a session, submitting a registration form, or participating in any Activity with NorCal Futbol Academy, I acknowledge that:

  • I have read and understood this Waiver & Release of Liability;

  • I voluntarily agree to its terms; and

  • If I am signing on behalf of a minor participant, I am their parent or legal guardian and have the legal authority to do so.
